Brief Overview oF SABU

SABU is the organizing and controlling body of Target Rifle, F-Class and .303 Shooting in South Africa. It is managed by a National Council in which the Provincial Rifle Associations, the SA National Defence Force and the SABU Veterans Club are represented.

The Provincial Rifle Associations affiliated to SABU are: Eastern Province, Free State, Gauteng, Griqualand West, KwaZulu Natal, Mpumalanga, Gauteng North, North-West and Western Province. T

he administrative headquarters of SABU is in Pretoria whereas the SA Open Championships are usually held at the General De Wet Rifle Range at the SA National Defence Force De Brug training area near Bloemfontein.
